Imagine living in a decade where there are no TVs, cellphones, laptops, internet… and not even your favorite humidifier. How do you think you will cope with it? How about this? Imagine living in a decade where there’s low technology and at the same time, you have have to be on lockdown. Sounds worse? Definitely.

A few weeks ago, the government has imposed a community quarantine to prevent the spread of the coronavirus or what we also call as the COVID-19. Different countries have strictly applied this as well, and travel bans have been made to further help with the situation. Along with this, companies gave their go signal for their employees to start working from home. Not everyone is lucky though. There are some employees who had to be laid off simply because their companies cannot sustain their businesses during the lockdown, and it’s also not an option for their employees to work from home.

During this pandemic, we can say that some families are definitely luckier than the others. The quarantine life is the life that no one really ever dreamed of. Not only do you have a limited supply of food, but you also have to keep thinking of ways to keep your mental health strong since you’re stuck in your homes. Luckily enough, we are not living the low-tech age anymore! There were so many ways how technology played a vital part in this situation.

For one, since some people were sent to work from home, they definitely need a stable internet connection. And along with that, a good, working laptop or computer. Good thing some homes nowadays have this setup already.

There’s also the television or streaming apps to ease the boredom away. Whether you want to stay informed on what’s the latest with the COVID-19 or just want to kill time by watching your favorite series, the television and streaming apps are definitely helpful during these times. They can at least take us away from overthinking and stressing too much.

And lastly, let’s not take for granted our appliances. Can you imagine being stuck at home without the air conditioner or at least a fan? Summer is already here, and we all know that the heat could really get dreadful during this time of the year. WE NEED TO COOL DOWN.

Even before the coronavirus, we have all been living an assisted life. But, shouldn’t we be grateful that we still have access to the things that make life easier when we need them the most?
